Infertility Issues
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am 36 and have been pregnant once. I lost the baby at 5 and a half weeks. Is there anything more natural to help with getting pregnant. I have always known I was meant to be a mother and REALLY want to have a child of my own before I get too old. I have not had good luck with meds for PCOS and endo

I’m sorry for your loss! I also struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss. My OB recommended that I take Vitex (chasteberry), calcium, fish oil, and folic acid in addition to prenatal vitamins.

It might sound strange, but some acupuncture techniques can really help. I've known three people, before finding my diagnosis, who have sought help with fertility through it. Most of the time it's the only thing that gets me through my cycle since hormones/BC don't work well on me. When I travel and need treatment my doctor always recommends someone certified through NCCAOM. Maybe there is someone in your area certified and experienced with fertility. Wishing you the best for your journey!

Hello! I’m 35, had 3 early losses in a year and am just starting IVF so i feel your pain. Working with a naturopath/functional practitioner can be helpful to make sure your body (especially the gut/reducing inflammation) is generally functioning well, and to get you on the right supplements that you need. I had an iron infusion also as ferritin levels should be 50-100 when TTC and endo girls tend to be deficient and have absorption issues. I’d also check out Mercier therapy… the idea is reducing adhesions/blockages and improving blood flow to the reproductive system. An anti-inflammatory diet is apparently key to a better environment also… I use the “heal endo” diet by Katie Edmonds but its also quite similar to another book I read “real food for pregnancy” by lily nichols (she also talks a lot about pcos and gestational diabetes). The podcast “mastering your fertility” has been so helpful and informative also!
