Problems With Bleeding Through My Mirena IUD

I have been bleeding despite having my hormonal IUD for three months now, usually around two weeks at a time. It's a very, very heavy flow with many clots coming through. I would say the IUD (Mirena) worked to keep my bleeding to only random spotting for about five months when it's supposed to work somewhere between 2-3 years. With Adeno, yes. My gynecologist thought this would be an effective treatment against that as I was losing a dangerous amount of blood last December before it was placed in. Now she's at a loss of what to do next.
