Hi. I have had a partial hysterectomy, laparoscopy with and. and endo removal. I am still in great pain. You might look into a doctor who deals with chronic pain. Often they have a better understanding of pain, it's sources and individual effects, and alternatives to opioid pain relievers such as: antidepressants specifically used to treat pain (i.e., duloxetine (generic for Cymbalta), which works for me); anticonvulsants specifically used to treat chronic pain (i.e., gabapentin, which is mentioned a lot on a FB endo group I follow); muscle relaxants; and anti-inflammatories.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member If you had to rank your life on a 1-10 scale without them...1 (cant function), 5 (can moderately function), 10 (back to your normal self), where are you without the medication and where are you with the medication?
I use Tramadol and Meloxicam and they help some, but never completely take away the pain. They do give me energy to have a life though and that is important. My PCP gives them too me, but anything stronger I would have to go to a pain specialist.
