Pain Relief
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have suggestions for pain relief? Tylenol and Motrin dont even begin tontouch the pain. My first gyno told me to get my mind off it by, “going for a walk and get a hobby” …so i got a new doctor. I’ve never had any drug addiction issues, there is no reason a doctor shouldn’t prescribe something that might actually help. It doesn’t look like that will happen though, so what can I do to help myself through this?

Careful with the NSAIDS. I earned myself ulcers with those.

Everyone is different and you have to give certain things like diet change and sleep hygiene time to help. That being said the following helped me:

Heating pads and TENS machines (like Livia) are no drug ways to lower pain. Changing your diet may help. Anti-inflammatory and/or going gluten, soy, and dairy free have help some (myself included, even got me off my asthma meds). An IUD had help me tremendously.
