I had a partial hysterectomy about 10 years ago. My OB/Gyn found adenomyosis. I had suffered from severe menstrual cramps from age 11. Even after 2 pregnancies and 2 deliveries I still suffered horrible monthly cramping
After trying birth control pills and the Mirena without success, I begged for an end to monthly cycles. I knew something was very wrong

My .Endo wasn't found until I had my total hysterectomy for abnormal bleeding. Everything is gone besides my ovaries. I also had Adenomyosis and a polyp. It is possible that your Dr. misssed some Endo lesions because regular Ob/Gyn aren't trained to know all the different colors the lesions could be. Endo makes its own estrogen. Please go to Nancy's Nook. The most factual and truthful website I have found with info on Endo.
