I agree with having someone give u a lower back rub. Definitely try suppositories! Also I found out through the 45 plus surgeries I've had there is this coffee called bullet proof and if u French press it and then place it in a blender mix with grass-fed butter and MTC oil. I swear u will have a bowel movement within an hour!!
Hey thank you for all the feedback. I was only sent home with pain meds to last me 3 days and nothing else. I use my heat bag one on the front and one on the back and take panadol + nurofen when the pain gets really bad. I might look into a mild softner to help also.
I would also add if your pain is unmanageable, then contact your surgeon right away. They can get you pain meds (which unfortunately cause constipation, but not getting them could be worse in the long run as you're still recovering and need to take it easy)
The first 2-3 periods can be awful. Mine were pretty awful. Ive been told up to 6 months to heal completely. I also struggle with chronic constipation. Pelvic floor physical therapy can be helpful - although3 wks out you'rea bit limitedwith what you can do . I also do the ILU massage, but im sure your belly is still a bit tender, so i would hold off on that. You could try a lower back massage. Sometimes that can help stimulate bowels. I usually have my husband do this while im sitting. I also take magnesium citrate pill form at night after dinner. It takes a few days to really start working though, so for immediate relief, you can try miralax 2 packs in one day (not all once and dont take it with mg citrate!) But basically to get you going. When im super constipated, i go on short walks. Stick with easily digestable food like bananas, potatoes, yogurt if you can tolerate dairy. Drink a ton of water. If none of that works, go to a doctor. Maybe message them that you are having problems and tell them what you plan to do, so they know in advance what you are trying and your appointment isn't an absolute waste of time best of luck ❤️ happy pooing
Hey Sarah,
I'm glad they could finally confirm that you have Endo and now you can find ways to work with it. Unfortunately, the first initial period is bad and you can expect pain for sure. Since your body is still healing, ovulating, the period lining,etc.. will cause pain. Constipation after last awhile the Dr probably prescribed you stool softener but I would also recommend miralex or fiber foods that would help you have a bowel movement. Pain after surgery I've experienced is in the abdomen area, pelvic, hips, legs and lower back pain. I had my second surgery about 8 or so weeks ago and still experiencing this pain. I'm doing pelvic floor therapy so ask your Dr if they can send you. This will help with your mobility, bowel movements, bladder, pelvic joint pain, etc . I hope you feel better soon and remember heating pads, warm baths and pain killers are your best friends.
