My gynecologist told me that she is certain I have endometriosis as well as pcos, with all my symptoms fitting them perfectly. But she also informed me that it would require surgery to confirm it so that I can get the treatment needed. I canāt take time out of work or college to do the surgery and life is miserable living it in pain and sleeplessness all the time. Itās not just a matter of missing out on work or school, itās the money too. I canāt afford to be off more than a day, and Iāve beenā¦ read more
I can't answer why but I agree that it is ridiculous and unfair. I had the discovery surgery just to get told "yes you have it" and had to have the excision surgery 3 weeks later. Such a waste.
Looking for some guidance about dos and donts that can help to make pain less. What should I avoid? What should I eat more of?
Gluten. Red meat. Dairy. Sugar. High processed foods. Alcohol. Caffeine. Smoking. can all make endo worse š
I still donāt have a definitive answer, but she thinks it may be my marker for inflammation caused by endometriosis.
The other thing she had been looking at was JAK2 mutation. But decided against testing. My numbers are high, but not high enough?
All my other doctors seem to disagree with the high platelets being an indicator of endometriosis.
Iāll be released from her care this summer more than likely. I a little anxious about it.
Prayers for you
Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. Could you share with me if you have similar experiencesā¦ read more

Hi ladies. I hope that you're all coping well with your endo & that you're feeling peaceful (although probably unlikely). I'm wondering, I have a Youtube channel & am wanting to put up a video about what endo is & to share my journey with endo (to promote awareness of this condition, as well as to get us talking & sharing). What I'd like to know is if any of you would happen to have any advice or interesting tips that I could include in the video for those who may be watching? This couldā¦ read more

Several yrs ago I tried it and bled and cramped for 2 months. I am desperate and trying it again. I have migraine with aura so I can't tolerate reg BC at all.

I can count on one hand the times that me and my boyfriend have had sex in the last year- sad I know
I just had excision surgery back in May and of course I'm terrified of getting back on the horse... seemed like an appropriate analogy. We have tried once since my surgery after waiting long enough and it still hurt but at the time I wasn't on any type of birth control so we had to use a condom and my fun parts have never agreed with most types. I'm thinking that was the main problem (more likeā¦ read more

I'm 17 years old right now and have been dealing with chronic pain(abdominal and migraines) since I was 12. It started with dually migraines and then went into daily nausea. I went to every odctot possible and they couldnt figure out what it was. I have been in the ER too often to count. It went over too extreme abdominal pain more in the upper area and then in the lower area also. I was checked for gallstones through ultrasound and blood tests. I also had a CAT scan done and two upper and oneā¦ read more
Love I am dealing with chronic pain I have both I trying to figure out what can help.
I have not had the surgery to have endo confirmed, but it is suspected by my new doc. She has put me on Yaz as I don't tolerate other types of bc. I am wondering what to expect from being back on bc? Will it supress the growth, symptoms? I assume that it won't make it regress? She has also mentioned wanting to send me to a specialist for, what I am not sure. Possible surgery I think?
I think that's my birth control... I'm not at home to check. I did really well on it for a few years....
Hello. Anyone menopausal and still having pain? My doctor is convinced that at 51 my endo pain will decline soon and took me off my Norethindrone daily maintenance and Mirena IUD. Crashed and had severe cramps for 3 days. Still having pain in my right side. Hoping the doctor is right, but after 30 years of dealing with pain (post a confirming laparascopy surgery in my 20s), I still feel dismissed and unheard. Thank you.
Thank you. I will look into a second opinion and research gynecological surgeons in my area (San Francisco). It's been a tough road to get a good recommendation.
