Hysterectomy Keeping Ovaries

Hi, I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago but they refused to remove my ovaries. I believe the endometriosis is back. Is this common?

I had excision before my hysterectomy. I'm just in so much pain with an 8 to 10 month wait to even see a gyne :(

I had a full hysterectomy and it came back still :( I am scheduling an excision surgery in January with a new doctor that I am hoping has better success.
