I am scheduled for surgery to find out if i have endometriosis. I wonder if it is what i have or something else. I feel just nausea right now and about a week and half away from getting my cycle. Occasional pain in lower stomach that is like sharp, and will get sharp pain through pelvic area also. All around just feel crappy. Anyone have that and its endo?

I’ve recently been diagnosed with endo through a cystoscopy. I’ve been living with UTI like symptoms since 2019. Does anyone else have experience with it being inside the bladder? I was told I had ‘painful bladder syndrome’ and my urologist completely ignored the possibility of it being anything else. So I am 16 years old and have always had very very painful periods and some irregular bleeding. Usually it was cyclical, but definitely a lot before my period too. For the past 75+ days it has just been constant severe pain that won’t go away. I’m going to get a laparoscopy soon so I am hoping that helps if it is endometriosis. When I first got my period at 10 years old (10 years ago now), I had extreme pain and so went to my gynaecologist who suggested that it may be endometriosis, but due to how young I was decided against doing a laparoscopy. After reading a lot of people’s stories on here, I’m starting to doubt getting the surgery from seeing so many women having more problems after surgery than before. I really want to be able to have a baby and I do have “simple” and “complex” ovarian cyst that go up and down in size also they said I have “endometriomas” on my ovaries through MRI at my first hospital stay last November. It’s day 1 of my period and I am in absolute agony. I have a pain in my left side and left knee which just won’t subside even with medication. I have very heavy bleeding/clots and have felt severely nauseous all day. I look and feel absolutely crap. Been referred to hospital and they have offered to burn off the lining of my womb but that won’t be until another few months. My question is do you think what I am experiencing is endometriosis? I had my first laparoscopy (ablation) on Friday, and I am still very tired. I do have three kids, so I only rested for two days before getting back into mom mode, so I’m sure that’s not helping!

How long were you on meds before your doctor decided to do a laparoscopy? My gyn wants to put me on orlissa or bc for 6months to a year before doing a laparoscopy? Do you find that to be typical?
