Pain Medicine
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am thinking about asking my doctor for pain meds. Has anyone did this? How hard is it to live on the pain pills? Side effects, and what about getting addicted?

Omg so sorry I meant to post this on another question about how Endo impacts sex drive. I am SO sorry and embarrassed!

The UNSPOKEN Truth Behind ENDO.. Opiates.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

So many of us deal with pain that would debilitate our lives, if we weren't able to sustain ourselves with some sort of medication to tackle the flair up. But what works the best?

Most of my doctors have put me on Tramadol first and Oxycodone when I explain how Tramadol doesn't do much for my pain. As well as nerve blockers and NSAIDS (Which I limit always to, when needed). HOWEVER, society has a different view on pain medication and I'm wondering if this has made anyone feel uncomfortable… read more

Kratom
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just searched and saw this was asked 11 months ago -- but I want an update. Has anyone tried Kratom for endometriosis -- if yes, did it help in any way (mentally/physically?)

Thank you

Hope y'all had a better day than yesterday. Much love and support to everyone. 💜💜💜

Make sure to eat a solid amount of food with it and start out with one gram to see how your body feels. There can be withdrawals from it so taper off if you stop taking it

Your Experiences With Laparoscopy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having my first laparoscopic surgery Friday and I'm kinda nervous. A few things I wonder is how long did it take for recovery? Good experiences and bad experiences with it? Did it help with the pain and bleeding afterwards? Or anything else you would think is helpful.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

Ive had the surgery twice now! Took about a week to recover and feel like myself again. I struggled with going to the toilet with the fear and pain of my stitches 'bursting', even though I was told… read more

Heating pad, ibuprofen, and CBD lotion (at least 1000mg) helped with cramping.

Laparoscopy Looming!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have my laparoscopy on Friday and don't deal particularly well with stong pain killers as they generally make me sick (not what I want after a tummy incision)
Does anyone have any tips on how to ease the pain?
Also, does anyone have any tips for the procedure itself, I've just been told to turn up without food or drink?
Thank you in advance for any advice, it will be greatly appreciated.

I had an rx for I think Norco, but it didn't quite do the trick, so I supplemented with Advil and it helped a lot. Maybe see what your doc thinks about 800 mg ibuprofen plus a dose of Tylenol… read more

Endo Regrowth Post Lap
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, ive had an excision surgery done on tuesday (November 13th, 2018) for stage III endo. Im wondering how long people were pain free from the disease afterwards. Idk why but sincr before the surgery i thought once its done it would be over forever but now the reality of it all is starting to settle. So please let me know how long after your surgery did endo come back and if not, what extra little things did you do to help your body stay relatively pain free? Thank you xox

Endometriosis Medication

Has anyone used birth control or the other medication out there for endometriosis? I’m afraid to start anything for my pain after surgery for the severe side effects that can happen.
