Hi all,
Don't know if I just need to vent but some advice would be appreciated too. I had my third Laparscopy towards the end of May this year. The removed endo from the Pouch of Douglas and Pelvic Wall. After previous surgeries I have generally felt a good bit of relief in the coming months. I also have PCOS. I'm not feeling as much relief as I thought I would by now. This month has been horrific. I had two full weeks where I felt "periody" and had PMS bloating, moods, cramps etc. I finally… read more
If I'm honest I felt no relief from having a laparoscopy, I felt like my nerve endings were just on fire and it just allowed it to run rampant. UCLH referred to my pouch of diagnosis as an obliterated… read more
Hi everyone,
I had 2 surgeries to treat endometriosis which both didn't help with the pain at all. In fact, they gave me more symptoms such as longer heavier period and severe constipation. (As I have stage 4 endo that attached to the bowel and I guess it may affect my nerve to pass the bowel)
After reading stories of other sufferers, I found my case is a little bit different that I do not have everyday pain like others but my pain will be before, during and after having period only but a… read more
Very happy to hear a positive hysterectomy story. Unfortunately, mine is not. Sex is the main reason I wanted to proceed with surgery in hopes I could experience sexual intercourse with my husband… read more
I can count on one hand the times that me and my boyfriend have had sex in the last year- sad I know
I just had excision surgery back in May and of course I'm terrified of getting back on the horse... seemed like an appropriate analogy. We have tried once since my surgery after waiting long enough and it still hurt but at the time I wasn't on any type of birth control so we had to use a condom and my fun parts have never agreed with most types. I'm thinking that was the main problem (more like… read more
Sorry to hear about your situation with your partner. My ex-husband is understanding of my condition and he is still supportive even though we didn't have sex. I believe education for men and eveyone… read more
It made me condition pretty much the same and worst at times.
What are your thoughts on it? What made you decide that course of action?
I have PCOS and Endo. It has not been easy. My daughter is adopted as I cannot have children of my own. This is something that I have talked about with family for about a year now. They are all supportive, but I would love to hear from yall...
Thank you. Good luck to you as well. I'm sorry that you are having a difficult time with this.
So I will be having Surgery probably early November or so to get rid of my Endo and I am having a hysterectomy. I was wondering if anyone had advice on before and after surgery. This will be my first surgery ever.
I didn't have a hysterectomy, but I had the surgery to laser the endo off. It was also my first major surgery ever. Headphonerecord made some good points. I was in alot more pain than I originally… read more
Hysterecetomy is alone not curative in deep endometriosis if there is still deep endometriosis in lower abdomen, pelvis. So, you need an evaluation for deep endometriosis if your pain still continues… read more

Greetings. Has anybody had surgery with endometriosis to remove uterus and possible cutting part of intestines as glued to uterus? What was the success or complications
Thanks so much for sharing
My doctor is talking about doing a full hysterectomy because my endometriosis pain is so bad and nothing else has helped. I've heard that a hysterectomy isn't a cure and the endometriosis can come back. Has anyone had this happen or did your pain get better? Also did you experience any symptoms not related to endometriosis after the hysterectomy?
It won't allow me to post all of my message so other half is on here some where xx
Take care and good luck!!!
