Bleeding 2 Months After Laparoscopy
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone,

I had my lap on the 12th June and had widespread but superficial endo and it was lasered off. After this I experienced heavy bleeding for around 2-3 weeks and my GP put me on tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding- which it did. Since then I have had no bleeding and have been on the progesterone only pill, like normal. However over the past month I have been experiencing pelvic endo pain AGAIN and tonight, I have started bleeding again
I have been in touch with my GP who I am… read more

Difference Between Ablation And Excision
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Good Morning everyone,
I have seen some posts about someone saying that the doctor must have done an ablation not excision.
What is ablation?
I know mine was excision.

Hello! Has anyone had the laparoscopic uterine nerve ablation procedure done? If so, did it help, what was the recovery time like and was it outpatient surgery? Thanks!

If , Yes , for how long does this continue? Or , this lower back problem is due to Ablation and not doing excision by the surgeon?

Could Endo Come Back 4 Months After A Laparoscopy?!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had my third laparoscopy this past July and have already experienced the same excruciating pain just four months after the procedure... What now? another surgery?
This pain is only on the right pelvic region. It's been discussed taking out the right ovary, is there any chance this could help?

Agree with Judith's response. My second laparoscopy gave me instant relief that only lasted around a week. You can't laser all the disease even if it is noted due to the anatomical structures it's on… read more

Third Laparoscopy For Endo Pouch Of Douglas & Pelvic Wall. Not Much Relief
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,

Don't know if I just need to vent but some advice would be appreciated too. I had my third Laparscopy towards the end of May this year. The removed endo from the Pouch of Douglas and Pelvic Wall. After previous surgeries I have generally felt a good bit of relief in the coming months. I also have PCOS. I'm not feeling as much relief as I thought I would by now. This month has been horrific. I had two full weeks where I felt "periody" and had PMS bloating, moods, cramps etc. I finally… read more

How Long Did It Take You To Recover From Laparoscopic Surgery?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor put on my form that I only need to take one day off for the surgery and then the next day from work. Does that seem right?? I know I shouldn’t believe everything I read on the Internet or see on TikTok, but so many people have said that it took them at least a week to start moving around normally again.

I was doing pretty well after surgery, walking, eating etc, but you can’t lift anything and have to limit what you do. I would definitely take more than a day but every person is different. I had a… read more
