Hi, I’m Thai so please excuse my english in advance. I’m only 19 years old and I took Yasmin for 2-3 years ago for cramps pain but the pain didn’t go away at all. So my doctor prescribed me Visanne bc she said I have endometriosis. I’ve only taken it for 24 days now and according to my past cycle my period should come know
So here are my questions
1. Does Visanne stop period immediately or it should still come normally or it depends on individual? Since I only use male condom for contraceptive… read more
Visanne is not a contraceptive pills. Use condom if you dont want to get pregnant. And yes, visanne can make your period delay/stop. Sometimes spotting occurs.
I started taking visanne 7-8 weeks ago and had a noticeable reduction in pain however my first cycle while on the medication hasnt stopped and I'm going on 4 weeks. My gyno is suggesting I tough it out since it's working to reduce pain but I'm inclined to stop if the bleeding continues. Everything I've read so far about visanne indicates your period should become lighter and maybe even disappear so I'm wondering if anyone else had this side effect and was there a way to stop the bleeding?
Mine was 3 month then I had to stop it
Hi all,
I've been taking Visanne for a year now and doctor has said I can stop it. How long did it take for your period to return after stopping it? And have you experienced any other symptoms? I've been off it for 2 weeks now. No period yet, but I've had breast sensitivity, increased appetite and increased libido. I would love to hear your experiences!
Do not take EPO and colagen if you have cyst. They contain a lot of oestrogen.
How long after you stop can you start trying for a baby? Did you get pregnant?
Thank you ladies!
Hi PindileBetty have you got pregnant naturally?
I've been on it for just over two months. It has completely stopped my period. I'm getting my Endo under control in hopes to have a baby. I'm worried that without a period I maybe going backwards 😞
Results of my HSG ended up showing an infected and blocked left Fallopian tube. Just had surgery to remove it and also removed endo scar tissue at the same time. Stopped Visanne one week after… read more
For those of you who have been on Visanne did you notice a change in your periods? My first one on it came late and lasted for about two weeks and this one is even later or possibly non-existent I had some cramps around the time I should have gotten it and maybe a drop. Can it stop your period altogether? My doctor never mentioned it when she prescribed it to me and it slipped my mind to ask. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have stage 3 endo and been using a dienogest pill for about 8 months but I’m hating the side effects and am considering getting an IUD put in?
For me the IUD was a tough transition, lots of pain in the first few months but then I had relief for almost two years!
Has anyone become pregnant while taking vissane?
Or pregnant after being on the drug? (For how long)
Any birth defects or dificulties?
Dear SophieZaalishvili , what happen to them after that ? Did they give birth or abortion since taking Visanne while pregnant might harm the baby.
I have been on vissane for two years now and have not had my period. Has anyone used this medication and how was it when you went off the medication and does it affect your pregnancy chances?
I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 endo of the bowels in 2015. I have had one laparoscopy in 2015 and have been on Visanne since and thus haven't had my periods or been in any pain. I want to try and get pregnant this year, but I am very scared about the pain coming back and not being able to fall pregnant.
Your diagnosis is very similar to mine, except I've just started Visanne and have 6 months to go... Would love to hear any updates once you have them. Are assisted fertility treatments an option for… read more
