Because of my PCOS and endometriosis, I suffer from chronic pain and anemia which has led to significant weight gain (more than 60 lbs, 20 of it in the last 3 months). Now I’m going for a full hysterectomy in April and beginning hrt shortly afterward. I would appreciate any advice and/personal experiences. Thank you!

Had uterus, tubes, and cervix removed last Tuesday. Bowel movements are very uncomfortable and the gas hurts like hell when it comes out. I am still eating a soft diet and taking stool softeners
After my surgery, I was able to go to the bathroom after a week. It got comfortable as weeks went by and healing and getting stronger. I drank a lot of tea for the gas. I hope you get better soon.
I had my surgery early morning yesterday, and has not been able to eat since coming back. The vomiting stopped after a few hours with the help of zofran, but I’m still feeling nauseated 30+ hours after discharged from surgery center. I’ve urinated and passed gas. Just feel really bloated, nauseous, and tired with sharp pain around my belly button and a slight fever. Is this normal after lap? How long does it take to feel better enough to resume normal diet after laparoscopy?
If you ever have a fever after surgery you have to let your Dr. know. My second surgery I had a mild case of cellulitis which needed antibiotics. The sharp pain is probably from the gas the put into… read more
Last time the gas build up was awful and trying to get up and down was too. But if you have anything or item that helped you let me know so i can add to my list to get!
Gasx and a flexible heating pad. Take the gasx as directed. Gentle movements while using the gasx should help your bod relieve the gas. You can get it at any drugstore
Use the heating pad where you… read more
I had an partial hysterectomy on 2-2 this year( I still have my ovarys and they removed endometrial tissue) but I took off my hormonal patch last week and now I have my ‘menstruation’ well it still hurts in my belly and the area around my anus. Even tho they told me they removed all the endometrial tissue successfully I don’t really believe it. I also have a menstrual migraine. Any tips? Specially for the migraine that makes everything a lot worse😅. And what was your experience after surgery and… read more
I recommend wrapping your heatpad around your feet (or putting your feet in warm water but I find the heatpad easier) and eating something that has a small amount of caffeine when you feel the… read more

Can anyone tell me what to expect after my first laparoscopy? Pain, bleeding? What’s the recovery time? The normal time to go back to work? Will sex be painful? I’m on constant birth control so I’m not sure how that will work post op, if my dr will keep me on it or make me get my cycle...also I have breakthrough bleeding now for almost a week and my surgery is in two days...can I wear a tampon for the surgery? I’m so overwhelmed this is my first surgery and it’s coming up quick! Any tips??
After my surgery they told me not to insert anything / have sex for 6 weeks. One strange thing i found With the surgery is you get gas cramps in your shoulders and upper back. Get some gas X for your… read more
My digestive issues are currently under control. And I hope they stay that way, but I’m curious if anyone has experience with this device?
It tracks both SIBO and other food intolerances.
I signed up today does it work for y’all
I have my first excision surgery one week from today! I was wondering what your essential recovery items were? I ordered a pregnancy pillow to help with sleeping and some loose nightgowns to wear the first few days. Anything else that really helped you feel better? Any particular snacks that helped? Thank you!
Thank you! I didn’t even think of stocking up on drinks with electrolytes. That’s a great tip.
I was wondering when I will be able to get up? I have a old dog who needs to get out early and a couple of times
All depends on yourself and recovery period
