Most of you know I just transferred doctors offices. I haven't met with my new normal gyne yet. The gyne I met with was the one available for the post ER check in with your doctor appointment. Does it matter to you if you have a female/male gyne? Who do you have? I know this sounds sexist, but I think it would be different if I didn't have the history of Endo and cysts. I'm not so sure when I was 20 and had surgery that male gyne surgeons and assistants would have been as careful to protect my… read more
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member in fact, my surgeon is from Canada but lives in Georgia now to have a great hospital to work out of
I have several painful conditions, endometriosis being one of them, my pain is so severe and now been hospitalized twice due to small bowel obstruction. Also they found I have an autoimmune type of esophagitis. My insides are constantly inflamed and my cysts are very painful especially before and during my period and it’s getting worse every month, last two periods I ended up in the ER. I can barley eat due to all the stomach issues and the fatigue is real. Any advice for getting disability??
Have you seen an arthritis, autoimmune doc. Had blood work ran? That is your first step to getting answers, what about a neurologist as well? Those 2 will be the most important, besides your… read more
After my robotic partial hysterectomy I am noticing a painful scar tissue forming from one of the wholes from surgery I am also having trouble pooping properly any recommendations?
I am going to the mayo clinic for help, if you have not check them out. They are supposed to be the best. Wish I had gone there years ago...
37 years old, Stage IV endo, left tube and ovary removed last May due to huge endometrioma, persistent pain on that side, not looking to have more kids. Day one and two are typically beyond miserable.
So my dr has recommended a hysterectomy (cervix, uterus) but leaving the right ovary so I wouldn’t go into menopause but wouldn’t have monthly periods. We’ve tried combination pills, progestin only pills, nuvaring, all with little effect.
I know it won’t cure endo but any thoughts on the… read more

I become Satan with birth control but because of my age no one wants to do anything but change my birth control.
I waa thinking of doing an IUD but have no idea if its even worth it.
I have a male and a female
I had an internal ultrasound today for pain new pain had for 2 months they’ve found quite a large cyst inside my ovary. I may just be panicking over nothing but I was meant to be trying for a baby about now. I only have 1 ovary and I’m so concerned 1. It could burst and burst my ovary and 2. That the gyne may have the take my ovary out. I’m quite frankly terrified, I’ve always wanted kids, there’s nothing I want more. Any advice or experiences people have had I would be so grateful to hear 💛
Thank u
I’ve had 2 laps to remove endo. From what we can see from ultrasound and old pictures, it’s now on a small piece of my colon and in my uterus. I’m due to have surgery end of year and must decide on whether or not they should remove my uterus this time. Im seeing one of the best doctors so I’m in good hands. I’m 39 and have no kids but always wanted to carry one of my own. I don’t have a partner currently and still need to work on myself. My question is has anyone my age or older without any kids… read more

Hi Ladies,
I am hoping you can help me, and give some advice. Sorry this will be long!:
I've had painful, heavy, clotty periods since I was 12, and was told it was normal. I was the girl, in middle/high school, using a tampon and a super maxi pad, with wings, at the same time. So I have dealt with it most of my life, dealing with pain and missing work.
I had the Mirena IUD put in back in 2013, and it didn't make a difference. I had a ruptured ovarian cyst, causing me to go to the ER. Got… read more
I hate to say it but I agree. Get a new female doctor. I have had such bad experiences with male doctors. Don’t hesitate to keep looking until you find a doctor that will listen. I promise they are… read more
