I discussed in this MedPage article how debating if and how I was going to disclose to my new job as a medical resident: https://www.medpagetoday.com/opinion/second-opi...
Looking for another endo doc in the Chicago area. Wanting a second opinion and thinking seeing an endo specialist would be a bonus. Anyone have a recommendation or a medical group you really like?
I went to northwestern. I am still in the process, but so far I am liking it. I am currently in pelvic PT. They have Endo specialist there.
I am so not sure if this is because of my GERD or Deep endo?
Sad ….
Thank you so much!
Also recommend getting different opinions. I've been to about 8 OBGYNs since 2016 before one finally brought up endometriosis. I wasn't diagnosed with a laparoscopy, but she considered all my… read more
I have stage four endo and all of my lower organs are stuck together. A hysterectomy was recommended, but I don't really want to go that route yet. Now I am considering excision surgery and have heard both good and bad things about it. I think it will help, at least a little, but I'm still looking for advice.
Thank you. This is actually my second opinion and she suggested to excision. I just hate the idea of surgery in general. 😕
I had a laparo-hysteroscopy in december, but apparently not all endo was removed. Another doctor wants to go surgical again to tackle the remaining endo. I'm confused as to go surgical again or just medical with Visanne... Help 🙁
Glad to hear the pain level decreased ❤️ That's what I'm hoping for.
I've had endo since I was a teenager. Lupron and multiple surgeries did not produce lasting results.
I just had a polyp removed on Friday. I won’t lie. It was painful. I took Ativan and over the counter pain medications, and I was also injected with freezing, but I don’t feel that there was enough… read more
get a second opinion. if your body is telling you something's wrong, then there definitely is something wrong. my GP didn't take me seriously either, was in tremendous pain and he'd just give me… read more
Hello. Anyone menopausal and still having pain? My doctor is convinced that at 51 my endo pain will decline soon and took me off my Norethindrone daily maintenance and Mirena IUD. Crashed and had severe cramps for 3 days. Still having pain in my right side. Hoping the doctor is right, but after 30 years of dealing with pain (post a confirming laparascopy surgery in my 20s), I still feel dismissed and unheard. Thank you.
Thank you. I will look into a second opinion and research gynecological surgeons in my area (San Francisco). It's been a tough road to get a good recommendation.
