Has Anyone Used Zoloft Before?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wanted to get an idea about what the effects of Zoloft are if anyone has used it before

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

I used it to treat my PMS -- only took it the 12 days before my period. It was generally useful. I felt foggy sometimes - the highs were lower and the lows were higher. I felt more even, but life also… read more

Help With Crippling Pms Symptoms.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Please does anyone have any suggestions for me? My pms symptoms are so bad and last weeks. Nausea, insomnia, crippling anxiety, stomach ache, headache, depression. Every birth control I’ve tried makes me sick physically and mentally. I have stage two endo and I’m not ready to give up my uterus and such. I already had 2 excision surgeries. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m lucky if I get one week a month where I feel so so. Please someone help me.

I used escitalipram which helped. Take a look at Jean hailes website for some herbal meds that can help with pms/pmdd.

Has Anyone Tried The Nerve Med Lyrica (pregabalin)? If So Did It Work For You? Side Effects?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My endometriosis expert wants me to try a new nerve medication called Lyrica (pregabalin). If you've tried this, did it help with your pain? My most severe pain is actually in my sacroiliac joint & the muscles & ligaments around the joint. It's specifically for nerve damage from spinal cord injuries (I have a herniated disc & either pinched or entrapped sacral nerves).

Since my flight from Hawaii to Portland for my surgery I've been having stabbing pain in my SI joint as well as spasms in my… read more

Pms?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is pms a part of endo? I'm 99.9% sure I have endo I have an app at the hospital next month, Along with the unbareable pain and many other symptoms I seem to have extreme pms. I'm so unbelievably angry at times I can't control it other times I'm extremely sad or extremely happy a lot of the time these 3 emotions cam all come on the same day! I feel like I'm losing everyone due to my erratic moods I've never been like this before? Advice please :(

Does Anyone Else Have Extreme Pain With Sex?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My boyfriend and I cant have sex because it’s so painful. I got reccommended to go to a pelvic floor therapist. Does that help at all?? I feel so alone in this, and I also have no sexual desire. Im currently taking Zoloft and my dosage just increased to 150mg. Could that be why I have no sexual desire? I feel so lost and alone. Any answer helps.

Night Sweats
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have night sweats constantly and I assume it's from the birth control or the lack of hormones because of the birth control, does anyone know more about this? Does anyone know if changing to a different birth control may help? Or is it caused by the endo itself? I can't see why it would be but saw many others have this problem too. I hate waking up constantly sweaty then cold then sweaty. Sigh.

Has Anyone Been Super Emotional After Hysterectomy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Before my hysterectomy is was on lupron and it made me very emotional, like cry at a commercial emotional, and since my surgery it seems to be worse. I've never been the emotional type, could it just be the change in hormones that is causing me to feel so much?

I also have chronic Migraines, so I'm already on medication that is also a mood stabilizer. If this moodiness continues I will definitely talk to my doctors about it though. Thanks !

Any Suggestions For Medications With Minimal Side Effects For Post-surgery, Stage 4 Endo?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I recently had surgery to remove a large endometrioma cyst, ovary and tube. The surgeon also removed (via lap excision) endo throughout pelvic region and an attachment to bowel. Doctor is suggesting aggressive treatment to prevent it from coming back. He suggested Lupron and Letrozole, which I refused due to side effects. Mirena IUD also an option but I really don't want an IUD.

We settled on lo lo estrin, but want to do research before even starting this. I feel a non estrogen pill would have… read more

Worse Pain After Laparoscopy And No Idea How To Ease It.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone I'm new on here, my name is Alisha I'm 19 years old and have been suffering with endometriosis from a very young age but was always told by doctors is was just period pains and growing pains. I self diagnosed myself when I found out about endometriosis as I had every symptom on the list. After 2 years of waiting I finally got seen by a gynaecologist and was sent for a laparoscopy where they did in fact find a lot of endometriosis. However it's been 10 months since my lap and my pains… read more
