Visanne And Periods?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

For those of you who have been on Visanne did you notice a change in your periods? My first one on it came late and lasted for about two weeks and this one is even later or possibly non-existent I had some cramps around the time I should have gotten it and maybe a drop. Can it stop your period altogether? My doctor never mentioned it when she prescribed it to me and it slipped my mind to ask. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Because of my PCOS and endometriosis, I suffer from chronic pain and anemia which has led to significant weight gain (more than 60 lbs, 20 of it in the last 3 months). Now I’m going for a full hysterectomy in April and beginning hrt shortly afterward. I would appreciate any advice and/personal experiences. Thank you!

Had Surgery 11/20/23, Got My First Period On 12/17/23, However I Have Not Gotten My 2nd Period Post-lap.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m 3 weeks late and have taken multiple pregnancy tests- all negative. I know periods can be abnormal post-lap but when is it too long for it to just be a “missed period”?

2nd question of the night.
I'm currently looking into rectovaginal symptoms and I'm coming a cross a number of pages from info sourced in America.
Does all this info apply to sufferers in the UK?
Do our specialists/consultant pay any attention to symptoms, medication and or info sourced from else where in the world?

Difference Of Lupron Treatment
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone know what the difference is between why you would need a 1 month lupron shot compared to a 3 month and a 6 month?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

My doctor gave me a 3 month shot based on the size of my endometrioma - he felt that this would help with symptoms faster. I didn't feel any relief but that particular endometrioma did shrink. I have… read more

Egg Extraction On NHS
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Im currently on the waiting list to have my last ovary removed, my left was removed years ago.
I'm pretty together on the "no more children" however, I know that once my ovary is gone, the psychological effect of the Menapause will convince me that I want a baby.
What I ask is could I have the eggs froze on the NHS or do I have to pay?
Any info would help
Thank you

Support Group
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello,

I hope you're all surviving and enjoying Christmas best you can
I'm pretty new to here and have found the support in here fab.
What I was wondering is, are you a member of any support networks?
I've tried to look for support groups but the idea puts me off a bit.
So I'm thinking of contacting people in Leeds or close areas and possibly arranging to meet for a coffee. That way it's less formal, people can get to know each other in a more relaxed environment.
Would this be of help to… read more

Yea, but I also feel lucky to be able to have them find it so soon. It sucks though. Especially because most people look at me and see a young, healthy girl, when I am far from that.. so people who… read more
