Girl! Zofran was my friend when my extreme pains began. But after a year, it was as if I was taking nothing. This year, 2023, I was hospitalized and they began giving me Zofran. But, was given… read more
37 years old, Stage IV endo, left tube and ovary removed last May due to huge endometrioma, persistent pain on that side, not looking to have more kids. Day one and two are typically beyond miserable.
So my dr has recommended a hysterectomy (cervix, uterus) but leaving the right ovary so I wouldn’t go into menopause but wouldn’t have monthly periods. We’ve tried combination pills, progestin only pills, nuvaring, all with little effect.
I know it won’t cure endo but any thoughts on the… read more
Congrats on making your decision @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member! I have an appt with a new doc in early May. She is an endo specialist. I am going to wait to make my decision until I meet with her… read more
I had an partial hysterectomy on 2-2 this year( I still have my ovarys and they removed endometrial tissue) but I took off my hormonal patch last week and now I have my ‘menstruation’ well it still hurts in my belly and the area around my anus. Even tho they told me they removed all the endometrial tissue successfully I don’t really believe it. I also have a menstrual migraine. Any tips? Specially for the migraine that makes everything a lot worse😅. And what was your experience after surgery and… read more
I recommend wrapping your heatpad around your feet (or putting your feet in warm water but I find the heatpad easier) and eating something that has a small amount of caffeine when you feel the… read more
I'm struggling to find a form of exercise that doesn't cause a flare-up. I used to do loads of walking and would aim for 100k steps a week, now the thought of that makes me want to cry because of the pain waking excessively causes.
I'm looking for something to help keep off the weight and bring some endorphins into my life.
yin yoga, Pilates, upper body weight lifting and swimming is really good.
Of course I should be ovulating around Thanksgiving 😑. Intense fatigue, lower back/pelvic pain, anxiety, nausea, ovarian pain, etc. I’ve never dealt with ovulation symptoms until 11 months ago. My doctor put me on Seasonale and Fluoxetine to balance out my hormones and to help with anxiety. Ativan for panic attacks. My hormones are so freakin out of wack I was thinking maybe that’s why I have actual pain with ovulation now.
anyone else deal with ovulation symptoms?
Hi this may be really late but I'm new here :) I unfortunately have intense ovulation symptoms as well so you're not alone! Really bad back pain, sharp shooting pain usually on the side I ovulate… read more
Been taking Slynd for almost 2 months now, first cycle I got my period early lasted only a couple days and this cycle nothing, no bleeding or spotting however I have been extremely nauseous for the past week. Has anyone else noticed nausea being a major side effect for them ?
I was on Slynd for about 2.5 months and I did have quite a bit of nausea. If it persists you can ask your doc for an anti-nausea. Zofran is a miracle drug for me.
I am on Sprintec and IUD, basically my periods are pretty non existent, just so dark spotting and I get some symptoms during my normal period week.
Had mine four years ago .I would definately agree with taking something to read or watch as might be long wait as I went in early morning but wasn't operated on till well later in day .Also It took me… read more
I have horrific autoimmune issues with my thyroid, endometriosis, and likely adenomyosis. I already have daily cramps, abnirmal bleeding, and a fever 4 days out of the week. Plus, 90% of my hair has fallen out. I'm in the ER almost monthly with awful pelvic and abdominal pain. I think an IUD could come near to quite literally killing me.
That’s good to know! Thank you!
Hi ladies,
I have been taking Zalkya/Dianogest for 8 months post stage 3 endometriosis surgery. Around 5 months ago, I started to have a sore throat, with sore tongue and dryness in my mouth as well as dry eyes and inside of the nose.
Is this the side effect anyone has experienced while taking dianogest? My consultant doesn't think Zalkya is causing it, but however, I do think it could possibly be as it does suppress the estrogen.
Please advise ladies if you have experienced anything like… read more
