I'm newly diagnosed stage 3 endo. I think I'm about to also be told I have an over active thyroid. How common is it to have both? What does this all mean moving forward?
I had, fibroids, overactive thyroid and endometriosis. Fibroids were over 6cm i had surgery 2017 removed them after surgery i felt like night and day. But my pain didn't go away i didn't know then i… read more
I've been on visanne for 4 weeks now. I've noticed a few side effects however the worst is the mood swings and depression. My friends, family and boyfriend are sick of me and my mood swings because they don't understand what I'm going through. It is very frustrating because this isn't me and im not sure how to control it. I'm just wondering if anyone who has taken visanne has any recommendations on how to deal with the mood swings and if/when they go away? I am ready to stop using it however if… read more
I’m on Visanne and I’m struggling with mood changes, brain fog, lack of motivation, difficulty concentrating and generally just feeling emotionally flat, if that makes sense. Fourteen years ago I quit… read more
I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I am concerned I may have another autoimmune disease. My labs for my thyroid are normal.
Yes the same here i get aches pain every where some time i take prn med's for those aches!!
Oh definitely….. I agree
I feel like I am going crazy. I have asked my doctors again and again to check if I have an autoimmune disease but no one takes me seriously. Well, I got bloodwork done and of course I test positive for autoimmune antibodies. But wouldn't it make sense for people with endo to have positive autoimmune antibodies? Think about it. We have uterine tissue growing in places it doesn't belong. Can't your body recognize that as foreign and start attacking it? Obviously, I'm not a doctor but it just… read more
Yep women with endimetriosis have it high.
Bear with me, it's a bit long
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endo and had an excision surgery, two years ago I had a total hysterectomy but both of my ovaries are still there. During my first surgery my bowels and uterus were fused together with endo. Lots of digestive issues/IBS because of it. During my hysterectomy, my right ovary was fused to my kidney and they were both starting to fuse to my wall. My surgeon was concerned about my kidney but thought he got what he could. At the time he saw… read more
Hi Kristen, may I ask if you don't mind sharing if the removal of your ovaries helped with your endo pain? Thank you so much. I wish you pain free days
How severe is fatigue if you have endo? I feel like I could sleep all day (some days I actually sleep 12hrs). I could be in the middle of a conversation with someone and fall asleep. It’s not lazy, I’m genuinely so tired. I got my thyroid and hemoglobin checked and everything is normal 😓
I’m often very tired regardless of sleep. I’ve had periods of fatigue all my adult life.
I have been tired a lot and experiencing some hair loss. I had full blood work done to find out what was wrong. Everything was normal except for a slightly elevated TSH level. Has anyone else had this issue? Hypothyroidism runs in my family but I am at a healthy weight. I hope I don't have a thyroid issue on top of the Endo.
I have read that a lot of women how have endometriosis also have thyroid problems, some theory i have read believe that there is link between endo and and thyroid disease. And hormonal imbalance… read more
