Hi ladies,
My GP has prescribed fluoxetine/prozac to try to help with my PMDD.
I am really anxious about the side effects though. Just wanted to gauge what others may have experienced?
Iām on duloxetine and itās been helping with the pain as well. Itās a little harsh tho but I needed it.
I'm 45, and for the last two years, I've been experiencing surges of anxiety, cramping, and a general feeling of illness during ovulation. Today, I woke up and shortly after felt a feeling of dread and fear, similar to a panic attack. I've been pelvic cramping all day, and not just a twinge in my ovary like mittelschmerz. I had a pelvic ultrasound two weeks ago and it was all normal. I don't know what hormone is causing this, but I wish doctors would test for it to determine the best course ofā¦ read more

For some reason, even tho Iām on the birth control Seasonale where I get a period once every 3 months, I still struggle with ovulation pain and PMDD including bloating, pain, PANIC ATTACKS AND ANXIETY (these are probably the worst), exhaustion and even chin/jaw breakouts. Maybe I should up my Prozac from 30mg to 40mg? Any tips on how to manage PMDD symptoms?
I hope to get answers. I really lost hope to get answers. I performed many investigations , went to many doctors and no answer. I am really afraid also. Many people warned me from that endoā¦ read more
You may want to get off the provera and try natural progesterone (100-200 mg troches or Prometrium in capsules) along with estradiol. It's working for me! Reeds' Compounding Pharmacy (reedsrx.com)ā¦ read more
After my laparoscopy in Oct 2021, I was prescribed Orlissa. I've notice my mental health is declining rapidly. I have a history of being on birth controls that made me have very manic depressive episodes. This time these episodes are more frequent and severe. I'm trying to determine if its the medication or if it's me.
Additionally, if you were prescribed Orlissa and take an anti-depressant at the same time, I'd love to hear your experience too as that may be a route I need to take.
Hi all, Iāve recently come off the pill just two and a half weeks a go (I was taking it alongside the jaydess coil) and Iāve noticed Iāve become REALLY emotional and things are getting to me way more than usual. I came off it because it didnāt help my pain, if anything it made it feel worse for me. Iāve had some really large mood swings where Iām irritable and then emotional. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar? Iāve had a pretty rough couple of weeks, I returnedā¦ read more

I have been experiencing a twinging pain on my right groin area since my cycle ended last week and now I have stabbing pain in my right āwell my right butt cheek š. I tried doing deep stretches and focus on stretching the muscles in my bottom. Any ideas for better stretches than just twist lunges? (I have two questions actually).

Iāve been on Seasonale birth control now since beginning of October and so far I think itās helped quite a bit but I still get the hormonal symptoms (and PMDD) anytime my hormones fluctuate such as ovulation time and 10-14 days before my period starts. The fluoxetine (generic of Prozac, 30mg) everyday has finally been kicking in and helping with a lot of symptoms. Not 100% but a good chunk and helps me feel a wee bit more ānormalā. The Ativan has been helping the panic attacks but the panicā¦ read more

Hi Ladies,
Quick question, I've been on a few different contraceptive pills over the years and after my Lap this year my surgeon put me on Visanne.
I immediately began to get suicidal thoughts and went to my GP and went off it as soon as I noticed these thoughts starting to appear and I went back to feeling fine. Recently the pill I was on began giving me really awful headaches so my surgeon suggested trying visanne with a hormone patch for three weeks to slowly transition from a combinedā¦ read more
