I’ve always gotten this, but it has gotten so much worse in the past few months. I struggle to describe it. My stomach gets so tight and it feels like the inside is pressing out. It almost feels like gas pain but it’s different I just can’t describe it. But it makes me feel sick. I get it every time I flare up now.
I totally changed my diet to be gluten and dairy free which has really helped me day to day. I also take anti bloat supplements (https://ovira.com/products/bloat-control) and magnesium which has been… read more
I completely understand the desire to be holistic. If you’re comfortable, find an acupuncturist who can provide herbal treatments. This helps. I think my dietary changes were equally impactful. I… read more
Hi everyone! I stumbled upon this page when looking for some support groups for woman who suffer from endo. I am sure we can all relate to the rollercoaster of emotions and the journey we all experience.
Lately my pain has been getting increasingly strong. What do you guys do when you are having flare ups?
Heating pad, omega 3, turmeric, Advil.. my favorite pjs and a happy movie. Trying to eat well and exercise as well (even light yoga for endometriosis) when I'm in pain sounds counter-intiutive, but it… read more
I have just taken the Depo shot 4 weeks ago and the pain has gotten worse. I’ve had to call out of work more frequently and no Tylenol or Ibuprofen is helping. Every day I am in pain it’s when I can’t stand or walk is when I have to call out from work. Is this normal? I told my OBYGN I wanted to do the Endo surgery but she wanted me to try this as a last resort.
I know if varies for each person, but how long did you take pain medications and how long was your recovery after excision surgery? I have an excision surgery and cystectomy coming up soon, and I am getting nervous about the amount of pain meds and recovery that may be involved. Is it worth it?
I was having issues with my endo. I was diagnosed later in life, but diet and supplements have reduced my period pain and other symptoms a lot. Main issue is that I still have severe gas pain during my… read more
I had surgery for severer endo that went undiagnosed for 15 years (always told it was bad cramps) and they put me on a low dosage of BC after to control my estrogen. 3 months in, it wasn't working, was still getting a period while on it so they switched me to nuva ring, again, didn't work, still bleeding. They put me on an aromotase inhibitor with progestrone, I've been on it for a month and once again, not working, got another period. I don't know what my options are? Am I just screwed… read more
I had one gynecologist tell me to my face that endo can’t grow and proceeded to look at me funny. Another told me that she could only prescribe Tylenol for my IUD placement. These make me laugh, lol
I was told to have a baby
Has anyone had excision surgery done by Robert Furr? I have a phone consult with him on Wednesday. He was listed on Nancy Nook's page. Thanks.
I am told he is fantastic. I know he is vetted and follows the footsteps of Dr. CY Liu whose daughter is also an excision specialist.
He left Chattanooga. I will be finding out where he is now.
Has anyone else gotten digestion pain where incisions are? Also after peeing right in the morning, I have stabbing pain on my right side. I’m 4 weeks post-op
