Has Anyone Struggled With Low Estrogen Levels For No Obvious Reason?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

I'm specifically asking women who still have their ovaries and are premonopause are not on any hormone inhibitors (like Lupron). It is so weird to me because it starting showing in my bloodwork after excision surgery and my hysterectomy (complete, not radical) that I have low estrogen levels. I figured it was my body adjusting to the excising of the endometriomas as well as maybe the removal of my tubes, but the low estrogen has continued to stay abnormally low and I am definitely experiencing… read more

Brain fog, becoming more introverted than before. And having to cut out people who did not believe I had endometriosis or gave me a hard time for it.

Visanne - Stopping This Med?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’
Melbourne, AU

Hello! Im new here. I had my first @laparoscopy on 23rd Nov 17 (5 days ago) and finally got confirmed endometriosis diagnosis after 13 years of suffering. I was put on Visanne last year in about August, and immediately had really severe side effects. I tend to get extremely adverse side effects with any hormone type med - so whilst the pill has helped my pain and bleeding a lot, the side effects outweigh the benefit unfortunately for me. My gynae and GP have both just confirmed today that i can… read more

Has Anyone Ever Heard Of An Inguinal Endometrial Cyst?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’
John Day, OR

Hello all! I hope you are doing well. Please forgive me for the lengthy post but I need some help.

About 2 weeks I went to the doctor for leg pain and . Turns out there is a lump the size of a lime in my far right groin area. Not necessarily in my leg or my lady bits, but kind of in between. They did an ultrasound and said it was an inclusive cyst. Today I went to follow up with my gyno and she went in through my lady bit and cut it open to drain. It was not a cyst at all or not a normal… read more

Bleeding Between Periods?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’
California City, CA

As things have progressed, I find myself wondering what is “normal.” This might be TMI but does anyone else get vaginal bleeding/spotting outside of their period when trying for a bowel movement? I know it’s vaginal. I had it earlier on but it seems to just be worse and worse. Thanks ladies.

I know this was a while ago but I’m wondering if you were able to find out what was going on? I have similar symptoms of vaginal bleeding after I eat certain foods (inflammatory I’m guessing) and… read more

What Questions Should I Ask A Surgeon At My Laparoscopy Surgery Consult?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’
Las Vegas, NV

So I have a consult this Thursday for a laparoscopy the surgeon is not an endo expert surgeon but he is a gyno/MD/FACOG
He isn’t my first pick but my first pick who is an endo master surgeon can’t get me in just for a consult till October 19th. I don’t think I can’t wait that long with the constant pain I’m experiencing, if he offers surgery should I do it or wait for the best in my area???
Please help I need any advice, info, opinions?

Ugh! I know these choices are so difficult. The main thing I would want to know is that No One is going to use ablation to treat the endo. I didn't know that everyone doesn't do excision surgery to… read more

How Long Until I Will Be Able To Move Around For A Whole Day After My Hysterectomy? How Bad Is The Pain? What Was Hormone Replacement Like?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’
Casper, WY

New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. Any of you who have had a hysterectomy please tell me how long did it take until you could move around at least for an… read more
