Anyone else experience episodes of pain that can range in intensity, only happen when you're asleep- wake you up and last between 20-40 minutes. Can make you throw up, bowels might need to move, struggle to pass wind, almost pass out
I think it's possibly a spasm, nobody can tell me what it is. Doctors still harping on about ibs but we do know I've got endo. It can be months between having them or I'll get a few in one month. Only when I'm asleep though. Pain is in my pelvis, down my legs, in… read more

Hello, i too get bad flareups that happen in the night. Sharp intense pain. All in my pevis and back. A feeling of pressure too. Its normally mid cycle for me, around ovulation. It lasts for a few hours. Not every single month though.

I have the exact same thing happen to me, Erin. Doctors told me it was IBS as well but it isn't. I had a colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy and there was no evidence of that.

Have you been to a GP for a referral? If yes, Ask for their differential diagnosis. When they give it to you ask how they have ruled out the other conditions it could be. Gut feelings, or your age, or weight are not valid reasons AND IBS should be diagnosed via colonoscopy to rule out other issues. If vitamin deficiency has been ruled out via blood test for the muscle spasms, You may need to see either or both a neurologist or cardiologist. I say cardiologist because pelvic congestion syndrome tends to act up/flare up more at the end of the day and can sometimes mimic endo symptoms. Could also be endo that has been irritated throughout the day by your activities. Could also be bowel related but if this is new (within the last year) they need to dig further because some of these symptoms could be cause by bacteria, virus, some type of -itus of the gi system that probably needs meds to make it better. Could also be common comorbid aitoimmune condition of endo. The doctor has dismissed you and needs to do their job better.
