Has Anyone Experienced A Ruptured Endometrioma?
Has anyone experienced a ruptured endometrioma?
Almost 2 years ago just before I was diagnosed with endometriosis I had an episode of bad pain and ended up in hospital. I was misdiagnosed at the time. After surgery proved their initial diagnosis was wrong, doctors told me I had endometriosis but they were not able to explain what actually caused the episode.
I found case studies that fit my symptoms very closely. It makes me believe that was initially sent me to Hospital was a ruptured… read more
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I read that also but my gynaecologist at the time recommended medication as first line treatment, fearing more harm than benefit from further surgery after my diagnostic… read more
How Long Before Laparoscopy?
How long were you on meds before your doctor decided to do a laparoscopy? My gyn wants to put me on orlissa or bc for 6months to a year before doing a laparoscopy? Do you find that to be typical?
My daughter was at gynae today in Mullingar Ireland. We were told to take oral contraceptive 3 months witout a break...break then back 3 months without a break. This is until she has an ultrasound… read more
FULL HYSTERECTOMY OR PARTIAL?????
Hey Guys, I may be having a hysterectomy in a few to a couple weeks and I don’t know what to expect after the surgery. Can someone please tell me what to expect after surgery and has it helped getting rid of endometriosis pain and symptoms???? Should I have a total hysterectomy or a partial hysterectomy to get rid of endo pain and symptoms???
I have heard that it is best to keep 1 ovary so that you won’t have to take hormones.
Any One Had Laparoscopic Surgery For Endometriosis Can Share Their Experience With Me? Plan For Surgery This Week. Thanks
Make sure to get medicine for nauseousness and pain killers. The surgery times vary depending on how extensive the endometriosis is I think. My second laparoscopic took longer since I had ovarian… read more

How Do You Manage Your Endometriosis Pain?
I have doctors that keep wanting to prescribe me muscle relaxers and ibuprofen and it’s honestly insulting. IDK what to ask for, but I know it has to be something stronger than Advil and Aleve out there. I’m in unbearable pain every month it affects work, hobbies, etc. I just want a quality of life that doesn’t involve being in pain all the time.
Omg same! My doctor tried prescribing me anxiety meds and muscle relaxers. Thanks but no thanks! I rather not live like a zombie.
Pain Relief
Please can anyone suggest anything that works for pain I have tried everything under the sun nothing works morphine dosnt work I’m going round and round in circles for help
I took tramadol at night and my doctor suggested Aleve by day... I wish I could remember the does. I think it was twice daily
Has Anybody Been Diagnosed With Sciatic Endometriosis? If So How Long Did It Take For You To Get It Diagnosed/removed?
I’ve had chronic back pain for 5+ years now, it’s localized to one point in my back but radiates to my hips, and down my left leg. 2 years ago I lost my ability to walk for 48+hrs and was in the most unbearable pain. Doctors prescribed morphine pills that didn’t do anything. Naproxen doesn’t work, muscle relaxers don’t work either, I’ve tried physio, heat, ice, massage and nothing relieves the constant daily pain. I have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow and am curious if it’s possible for lesions… read more
Need Support And Advice
Cant control the pain with OTC pills my left lower back is killing me im cramping so bad.. Can't get out of bed it hurts.. What do i ask at hospital i have no insurance but need this pain gone.
Not sure what OTC pills are, but you can see if you can get stronger prescription drugs. When mine's bad I have morphine based tablets I got from my GP and it works wonders!
Did Prostap Work For You?
I'm having my 5th injection tomorrow and I've detested everyone. The NHS is horrendous at the moment with lack of communication. The prostap injection makes my pelvic pain unbelievably painful to the point I can barely walk, I get endo belly, horrendous gas/wind and nauseas. I've been waiting for an (urgent) appointment to see my gynaecologist since April.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Neither did I :( I wasted years seeing doctors that weren’t specialists and weren’t helping me, Could you request a referral via your gp to see one? X
