I have badly damaged Fallopian tubes and stage 4 endo. I am 28 and being trying for 2 years with no success.
The dr says IVF is the only option but I don't want to believe him :( I want to fall pregnant naturally
I am in Jeni's boat. We have been trying for two and a half years, and now we are planning on IVF this summer. Given my numbers (similar to @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member's)--low quantity and quality of eggs. It seems we really never had hope of succeeding on our own. I have a endometrioma (and likely more they cannot see) on one of my follicles. My doctor told me that the endometrioma is likely killing both eggs and sperm... Terrible.
I have been told that my egg stores are very low for my age, I have both PCOS and endo so not sire which one is the culprit. My doc did tell me however that my surgery for my endo damaged eggs so it is best to try to avoid multiple surgeries
I am very blessed to have had absolutely no issue with infertility.
I can not have children. If you had asked me ten years ago, I would have told you for several other reasons, I did not want children however; when I found out that I couldn't have them, I felt broken. Sex is too painful for me because of my endometriosis (even after six years of pelvic therapy) so I have to think that it is somehow meant to be this way. I try to tell myself that I am infertile so others who really want to have children can have children.
