Has Anyone Experienced Severe Mood Swings From BC To The Point Where You Don't Want To Take It?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just started Loloestrin last week and symptoms have been managed well but the mood swings are terrible and I'm an emotional wreck. I've tried several other BC pills and have had the same problem, the only difference is none of those helped my symptoms either. This one seems to be alleviating the symptoms for now... just not sure it's worth it.

Yes I have, I have tried several types and none of them have been quite right for me. Some made me depressed some anxious. My one doctor told me that it wasn't even possible. Glad to know i"m not alone.

"Not possible" BS. Tell me that it's not possible to be depressed and more anxious after being told freaky periods were NORMAL for how many years when you suddenly end up in the ER (first time EVER in the ER at 20) and are told you'll have emergency surgery the next morning...and then you may find yourself with bodily harm.

I had major issues when I switched to the Nuvaring with mood swings and depression/anxiety. My doc switched me to another pill (different formulation) and so far it's a ton better. Talk to your doctor about trying a different pill!

I haven't had a period yet since I've been on it, and mine have been super light since my ablation so I'm interested to see how it effects that. I just can't stand the moodiness. I'm being so short with my husband and kids, and I don't want them to suffer. I'd rather be in pain than be horrible to them.
