I'm just curious. Am I the only one who has a harder time than most controlling their body temp and is bothered by temperature more than most? To the point you don't go outside if it's really hot or really cold? I have what my former doctor and I call internal muscle spasms depending on the weather....too hot or too cold. It freaks people out, because I literally double over and cannot move for a while.
While everyone else is comfortable, I need more layers anytime I go somewhere......too hot… read more
I can not tolerate the cold. I had an event outdoors in the cold and started my cycle that day and the cold not only paralyzed me but caused me to uncontrollably cry. Normally I can use breathing to help handle the pain but I couldnt that day and my husband had to come pick me up, wrap me in warm blankets and lay me in the back of the van to get home. It was awful. I have not noticed a problem with heat.
Thanks for asking/answering the question of weather. Since my surgery almost 3 years ago, I cannot stand the cold. Anything below 65 degrees feels overwhelming (more so the colder it is), especially to the right side of my lower body. Sometimes I can't even walk because my right leg feels like I left buried it in the snow and left it there. Going to graduate school in Western NY was not a good idea. As soon as it's 45 degrees people turn on the air conditioner. It's a bit appalling since it's so drama... just open a window. Sigh.
Just glad to know I am not crazy and alone in how I feel about the cold.
I have a problem with the cold. It gives me excruciating lower back pain that feels like my kidneys are being punched hard. It also gives me cramps. I usually have a blanket with me during the winter months.
I have a very hard time regulating my body temp. I fluctuate from hot to cold often. I layer. Also if it is very damp out my lower back and hips hurt a lot more than normal. My endo is wrapped in my sciatic nerve so the damp and sever cold HURT!
Thanks. Thankfully it's not an every day occurrence.
