Hi fellow endo sisters,
I'm 27 years old, stage 3, diagnosed finally at 21 via lap after years of doubtful and disbelieving doctors. I had to give up an internship I was passionate about and left my life in NYC to move back home due to increased pain. My doctor suggested Letrozole when I refused depo-provera, Lupron, and danazol.
I'm worried about the onset of depression, hair loss, and weight gain. Has anybody experienced any positive or negative symptoms from Letrozole?
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I'm not on Lestrozle, but am on Arimidex. Same family. The bone density loss can be offset by taking extra calcium, doing weight lifting/weight bearing exercises. Hair loss? Not an issue. Depression was an issue long before I was put on it....just because of Endo in general. Get a DAXA bone density test before you start it, if you start it. The Arimidex has really helped and especially when I team it with acupuncture twice a month.
Anah, by law, a doctor has to tell you about all possible side effects, as do all the websites, even if the chances of having the side effects are 1%. That being said, I've never been on it.
