Members shared their experiences with developing a belly pouch after hysterectomy, with many describing frustration over being mistaken for pregnant and struggling with persistent bloating, weight gain, and a protruding abdomen despite exercise. Several members offered practical insights, including tracking foods to identify bloating triggers (such as dairy), understanding that weakened or cut abdominal muscles contribute to the pouch appearance, and recognizing that certain medications can cause weight changes. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable in their own bodies, coupled with support and validation from others navigating the same difficult reality.
