I can't take contraceptives Which is why I was tried on a mirena, and how is a mirena proved clinically ineffective? When all it is is a slow release contraception device, with progesterone or another I would b more inclined to believe it more effective than taken a pill since a mirena is in the direct vicinity of the endometriois and its makers either way a mirena ain't for me anyway got rid of it... A full Hysterectomy (ovaries and all) ain't a cure no and would probably bring along a whole new problem with hormone replacement therapies. And I'd like to know why things that have helped girls with endo (by their own admission) have been proven clinically unhelpful, I think it's more about finding what helps you, I haven't found that so I wana know options others have tried successful for them or not.

It's probably worth combing a few different versions of birth control. A hysterectomy isn't a cure. Mirena and Lupron are proven clinically not to help.
