Fatigue
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have issues falling asleep doing things like driving? I've had this issue since high school and no doctor has been able to help me. It's been pretty bad lately and it's a huge worry for me because I don't have someone to drive me every time I need to go somewhere, nor can I afford a different means of transportation. I don't know if this is common or related to endo, or if it might be something else. I've been tested for so many things including anemia and narcolepsy, experimented… read more

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I would for sure recommend getting tested for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Epstein Barr. Like you have horrible fatigue and these are things I've been told to be tested for. I would also suggest not seeing any of those doctors who said you couldn't have any of these conditions along with Endo. Just because you have Endo doesn't mean or rule out the fact you could have one of these conditions! Also suggest a blood test which I'm sure they'll do because it's standard so they can check all the vitamins, hormones and etc to see if you may be deficient with certain things that can cause fatigue!

I've been trying some incredible vitamins and not only do I finally sleep at night, but I wake up rested and happy and have energy all day. I haven't had a Starbucks in a month and that's crazy for me!! Email me, I'm happy to pass on the info! You're amazing!

Leah, just be brutally honest. Have you tracked the amount of real sleep you get using an app? That can help you too. If I'm your doctor and I ask "how are you?" or "how are you? how are you sleeping?" Right there, there's your opening.

Do you have Uber near you?

Lauren, no I don't think we have Uber here. But even if we did, I'm barely able to work one day a week so I can't really afford to pay for something like that right now. I haven't used a sleep app yet but that's a good idea. Thank you so much. We leave tomorrow morning.

Lauren, no I haven't. Some of the doctors that I've seen are of the mindset that if I have already been diagnosed with endo, that it rules out other things such as cfs and fibro. I'm going to SLUCare for see and treat on Wednesday. Do you have any tips on how to bring this up?
