Ripping Pain And Discharge...are These "normal"?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had endometriosis symptoms since I was 15. In February, I had a laparoscopy that confirmed endometriosis growths. Things were good for a while; I went on Lupron (which was completely awful), but symptoms seemed to get better. Now I am off of Lupron and back on continuous birth control, and my symptoms are back.

The shooting vaginal pain is common for me. Sex hurts and I no longer use tampons because I can feel them the whole time.

I am having the same issue. I changed Insurances and they don’t cover the birth control I was on. So now I have Brown discharge. Does anyone know how long this will last??

Speaking for myself I will say yes this is common! Sadly when you switch meds around your period always knows and gets everything to start acting haywire. I occasionally get that sharp vaginal pain your talking about but it's pretty rare. Usually I put a heat pad on my pubic bone to help. Plus intercourse can be brutal on certain days just like the cramping and horrible pain. And for your 2nd question I think it's normal to have vaginal discharge. IDK how much or bad yours is but if it's concerning you ask your doctor or wear a panty liner. They make them for underwear and thongs! :)

I've had the same experience as you minus the polyps. Even though I am not a medical expert I still think it's normal to have a light discharge with lupron because that's what I've been experiencing. Hope that helps. Also...lupron is the devil in disguise...I'm just saying lol
