Who Has Had A Full Hysterectomy In Their Mid To Late Thirties?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Looking for feedback from people in my age bracket (35-40) who have had a full hysterectomy. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis. I've been trying to put it off but am thinking it is my best option for a normal life.

I have both and have been told the same thing. I'm ttc though so this is the last thing I want! But I'm 35 now and the clock is ticking...

I'm 32 w adeno. I went to Dr. Sinervo and had all my endo excised. It had pent rated 6cm into my abdominal wall and I could no longer contract the muscle. He performed a presacral nuerectomy and that has taken care of all my pain from the uterine contractions and the low back "labor" pains. The only pain I have now is from pelvic floor dysfunction and I have a great therapist for that and took diazepam fir 30 days and we are now reducing to 3x a wk. The therapy is working to reduce my pain. :-) I do feel "pressure" from the boggy uterus weighing down at the end of my cycle (I'm not on any hormones) but not pain. Idk if that's an option for you but it's what I did. Just having all the endo out has significantly reduced the amt of bleeding I have has the last 2 cycles. My plan is if the adeno gets worse, to try mirena and then do a hysto of uterus, tubes, and maybe the cervix.
