I had the 3 month shot. The first time was the worst. The second and third times not as bad.

The hot flashes I had on Lupron were severe compared the ones I have now: post- hysterectomy/ ovaries removed. I compare it to having Pitocin that causes labor artificially and makes the contractions come fast and hard. The symptom that was the worse for me was the depression I had while on the Lupron.

For me I don't have pain because I have progesterone as well as the luperon depot. But I notice my hot flashes are worse now. I am on my treatment for a year because of my stage 4 endometriosis.

Unfortunately Lurpon did not help my stage 4 recto-vaginal endo at all. I was still in terrible pain. It was definitely the worst medication I have ever tried. It should also only be used for a short amount of time. Not longer than 6 months.

I had my shot in March this year 11.75mg, and still have hotflushes and night sweats.
