Hormonal Cystic Acne
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone suffer from hormonal cystic acne? Breakout twice a month. 1@ ovulation 2@ period. Would love some feedback on anyone who found a "cure"

Yes both times a month. Not found anything that prevents/gets rid quicker yet.

I find it easiest to pierce them with a needle and try and get as much tea tree oil on them to kill the germs asap

Yes. I thought I was the only one. Everyone tells me there skin looks the best during ovulation. I haven't found anything that helps. Last month I put hydrocolloid bandages on the areas I broke out and left them on over night. it seemed to help them at least shrink in size. I buying more to see if this actually works. In the past I drank spearmint tea before ovulation and that seemed to reduce the severity of the break outs but it also through off my ovulation

I'm glad you have insurance too. You may have found the key to your breakout. It's hormonal, birth control is hormonal,, what was the main hormone in birth control.. That's what is making you break out. Good luck to you!!!!! Thank you for your responses.

Usually 1x during shark week, but I had to go on birth control for some time before my lapplication and my face went crazy. My insurance should cover it, I'm very thankful I have great insurance.
