Chronic Fatigue
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

In the last year my fatigue level has gotten out of control. I sleep for about 10 hours a night, waking up every hour or 2. After waking up some days I only have enough energy to make it to the couch. Most days I don't even have the energy to shower or even hold a conversation. I am mentally and physically drained. My whole body aches and is tense all the time. I can never get comfortable because my whole body just hurts all the time. Has anyone else had these symptoms? Is this my endo or could… read more

I had all the issues and symptoms as you are having. I was diagnosed with fibro 4 years ago and I just had a hysterectomy in Aug 15. I also have chronic fatigue and it is a day to day battle to just get the day to day things done. I know how it can interfere with your emotions. I saw a immune specialist 3 years ago who stated that fibro and chronic fatigue was a symptom of another diseases in my body. I thought he was crazy. What does he mean " Fibromylgia" is a diseases! Well tuns out I just had a hyster in Aug 15 and although I did not see a specialist for endo the pain and fatigue is down to a 5. I have to schedule another surgery since I have endo in my lungs and diaphragm. My current doctor who is trained at the CEC in Georgia which is an endometerisis training center, says once the endo is excised your pain will be all but a memory. I pray it does and I pray you get help too. What helped me was eating clean, working out but only for about 25 minutes (light workouts or elliptical machine ) believe me I had to force myself out to work out. Resting in between the day and taking naps.

Thanks @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member!! I can definitely relate to the vicious cycle of depression and pain. A few months ago I was put on some anti anxiety meds and they have helped trememndously along with my great support system! I struggle with wondering if what I'm feeling are symptoms of something else, side effects of the meds I'm on, endo related, or mental health related. Its exhausting!!

I've certainly felt that way and still struggle with it. For me it's always been a combination of the pain I'm in and my emotional state, which happens to be depressed because of the pain, which creates a nasty cycle that CAN be broken but takes consistent effort and can be damn exhausting, to be honest....I have great therapists who help me through these patches and are even there for the better times, along with my husband. Please don't be afraid to talk to people and rely on or create a support network! <3

I am always fatigued, ALWAYS!!!!! I am not always in pain, but always have to take breaks with everything.. I usually can push myself through.. as long as I am mentally sharp, but if I'm mentally fatigued.. all bets are off!!!! So if im stressed or worried about something.. nothing gets done!!!

Make a list of all your symptoms, where they are, what triggers them, what you have tired, and do not take NO for an answer. I have got a tremendous amount of help as well on Nancy Nook List on facebook with endo, fibro and support and direction to doctors who have studied and trained in removal of endo.
