Hi there, this is a sensitive matter and honesty will really help me. I'm wondering if anyone else has lost their sex drive, but not due to it being too painful. For hormonal reasons maybe? I'm wondering if it is linked to my endo problems.
Thanks

I'm thinking many women who deal with endo undergo some form of depression and anxiety from the ongoing struggle of the disease. It exhausts you mentally, physically, and emotionally. I have felt this way for many years now. And always wondered if it was correlated with endo. But those with depression lose interest in many things--sex being one.

Hi ladies. I know I'm late to the party, but I also have the @mirena coil and I don't have much of a drive. In my case, sex has ALWAYS been extremely painful, so I was always surprised that I even had any drive! But I noticed after having the @mirena put in about 2 years ago I had next to nothing. Once, for some reason last year, it suddenly came back, in a way I hadn't seen it for years!! I felt like a nymph, and keen to see if things were any better since my last surgery, I went with some bloke who was a total d*head, the sex didn't hurt quite as much as I feared it might, but it wasn't great either. And since then, next to nothing again and it's been months. I largely blame the @mirena.

Hey hon,

I always had a very healthy sex drive. Had a f*** buddy for the longest time whom I would call a few times a week to take care of business if you see what I mean, I would also masturbate often. I too got the Mirena when I got my diagnostis, because I didnt want to be bothered with taking a daily pill. Although it took care of most of my pelvic pain attack, it also killed my sex drive. I would have sex with my partner only when he demanded it and it was all an act on my part, I was just waiting for it to be done until at some point I couldnt fake it anymore. I had to stop it having sex because it was just so bored about it, and even the idea of taking my clothes off was too much to bear. When I started losing a lot of hair I made some research about Mirena, and sure enough all the online articles I read online talked about, depression, lack of sex drive, weight gain, hair loss. Thats when I decided to have it taken out. Since then (about a year ago) I feel better mentally, I have very few pelvic pain attacks and when I do its very manageable but the sex drive hasnt returned unfortunately I now wonder if its Mirena related or endo related? I really miss the eck of my sex drive. It is so gone that you could tell me that I will not have sex until the day I die and I wouldn't mind. :(

Hi ladies! I'd like more answers on this thread. I never had a problem with my libido before, just too much pain to have a sex life, but it certainly wasn't for lack of wanting one. I've now had the mirena coil for about a year, and my libido has gone completely!! This method of hormonal control was chosen specifically as I didn't get on with any other method, e.g, the pill or the depo, didn't want weight gain, (although got a bit anyway :/ ) and it's the lowest dose hormone. I wasn't expecting this however and don't know what to do! There's no way I could have a relationship now. But my pain is virtually non-existant compared to before. Anyone else dealing with this?

Sorry for your troubles. I lost mine years ago, in my mid twenties, before endo. Mine is most likely due to diabetes.
