Hi
I am I wandering what are your experiences with birth control pills? I am currently on the Mirena ... I have over 2 weeks periods, back pain, fatigue and mostly and don't really love life anymore ... I always had trouble with the pills. It alwayls gave me anxiety and depression to some degree. Hi. I've used hormones 3x and never got relief. I went to Dr. Ken Sinervo and had wide excision surgery and have had 6 mos of pain free life. Lower back pain is a sign of adenomyosis and that gives u only two options a PSN where they cut the nerve to your uterus or a hysterectomy. I had the PSN and it has worked so well my best friend went to the same surgeon this week for hers. Plz join Nancy's Nook and look at the specialist listing for a qualified doc. Read Dr. Andrew Cook's book stopping endometriosis and pelvic pain for better understanding.

Hi!
I am soo sorry you are having a bad time! I have been on many different kinds of birth control since I was diagnosed. I have never used Mirena because of friends/family having difficulty with side effects. For the last year I was put on a dose of Microgestin 1/20 (Actavis) Continuous birth control. It was continuous so I would no longer have a period. It really helped with the severe pain I typically have during that time of the month. I didn't have any side effects with mood, I actually started to feel better/more consistent with moodiness. I would definitely talk to your doctor about the side effects you are feeling. You know your body better than anyone. I hope you can find something better to help!
