A woman is born with the endometriosis cells just because a woman is pain or symptom free does not mean she does not have the cells she just may not be diagnosed, it does run in families
I was diagnosed due to numerous miscarriages, bad symptoms, no live births; my sister was diagnosed when having back surgery on herniated disc luckily surgeon was familiar with endometriosis and removed for her she also had miscarriages no children... We believe my mom and other sister also have but we're not diagnosed they did have children but also many of same symptoms.

Endo is a very common reproductive disorder, but I believe it is considered genetic. But that does not guarentee it will pass on to your daughters, nor does it mean someone like me cannot have it because none of my close female relatives have it.

I don't know. My mum didn't have it and nor does my sister but I think I read somewhere that it can be more likely of family members have had it.
