Is Anyone Familiar W/DIM (diindolylmethane) For Estrogen Dominance? A Friend W/fibroids Recommended It To Me For Endometriosis Management.

DIM stands for diindolylmethane (pronounced: dye-in-dollmethane), a natural plant nutrient found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables. It is supposed to help balance out hormone levels, resulting in shrinking down endometriosis and fibroids.

Found via University of MD medical center: Diindolylmethane (DIM), 1 capsule 1 to 2 times per day, to help the body metabolize estrogen into the most beneficial form and not into harmful forms. If you are taking birth control pills or any kind of hormonal medicine, talk to your doctor before taking DIM as this supplement may interfere with hormonal medications and many other medications.

I can't find any literature from medical journals, only related to endometrial cancer. As with any supplements, please consult with your doctor first :)
