What Is Peritoneal Stripping?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've recently had surgery and on the discharge one iof the procedures carried out was peritoneal stripping.
Does anyone know what this is? I've never had it before so confused.
Thanks

How many surgeries have you had Hun?
Can the stripping cause a prolapse?
I'm now in dr with a water infection,I'm in pain and just want to go home and cry.

Is that where they go in and try to remove scar tissue adhesions etc from the inside of your abdominal cavity? It can cause things to shift and fall into your pelvic floor. I have a partial prolapse bc of all my surgeries and it seems you have had MANY more than me.
