Has anyone actually done a local event in their area for: Endo walk/run?
I can't imagine "running" in the condition most women are in with this disease, but even bringing Awareness from a "walk" (I think) would be so beneficial! Has anyone attended or created a Walk of their own and if so, please explain.
I can't even find a local support group in my area to talk about Endo.
I went to the annual one that is worldwide but has different areas. I went to San Francisco. The dr who runs it knows the pain we are in and makes it a one mile walk.
I live in Wisconsin. I always wished there were in-person groups here for this as well. I'm happy to see there are in CA though!
This year there are 2 marches in California. One in San Francisco (The official national march) an a local EndoMarch in Los Angeles.
I am helping organize the second one with the authorization of the official one. Both marches are 1 mile or less and some EndoSisters do it in wheelchairs. If you would like to register here is the link: LA-EndoMarch.eventbrite.com
