Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone else gets flu like symptoms before getting their period? I seem to get it every month without fail. Normally a week or so out from my period.
Yes, sense I was 12...its very common with endo to feel shaky, weak, sweaty, fatigued, sick to your stomach, body ache, and other symptoms as well during your cycle! I missed 2 days of life a month for 18 years that was just excused as "oh, she's weak and her periods are too hard for her to handle" which we all know is a lie. You are not alone, and it really sucks. I got through it usually by sipping hot ginger tea with a little honey in it to keep up my blood sugar...But there is hope! I just had my first period sense my surgery (which is suppose to be miserable) and my family had no idea, which is the greatest victory. Have you been able to find a great dr that specializes in endometriosis and understands you? I wish you all the best in your journey, this is a great site with an amazing community! :)
Hugs Lisa. Iβm sorry you experience it every month too. When does it get better? Sigh...
Hi Yvonne, Iβm still not π― sure if it is from endo, but I feel like it MUST be! Prob body very inflamed during that time and then therefore very run down I guess? Not sure, but Iβm def with you! Get βfluβ every month! π
Hello! OMG. What you described sounds so much like me. So itβs possble to have flu-like symptoms and scratchy throat before period if you have Endo?
Hi Candice, apologies for commenting a year after your post, I just joined this community today! I have endo and suffer from flu like symptoms up to a week before my period (achey body, feverish, headaches, fatigue, also strangely sore throat) and was wondering whether you figured out whether your symptoms were from endo? So sorry to hear you felt no relief after surgery! :( really hope you managed to find some sort of solution! X
