Does anyone else take Tramadol for your pain? That is what I have until my surgery. Although it seems like every time I take it the next few days my pain comes back worse then it was when I initially took the Tramadol. It has happened to me multiple times now. Does this happen to anyone else?
Tramadol is likely not making your pain worse, but as it wears off and your brain starts perceiving the pain signals again it makes you feel like it's worse because you had a time without it.
Yes it happens to me and I also have ibs so it gets really uncomfortable in the potty dept too. I switched back to oxycontin and ibuprofen in between doses. Also.try Epsom soaks and wet heat pads. I'm so sorry you don't have a better pain management. Mine is still barely tolerable and I've had to go without pain medication for a few months due to cost and I couldn't take it. Check out endometriosis yoga also and if you have a partner that can help by relaxing the sciatic nerve this does offer some relief. Live to you. Stay strong. Keep us informed and if there is anything I can do I'm here.
I dont take tramadol. I take 2 paracetamol and an ibrufen and it helps ease it but not take it away fully. Currently the drs want to see if the coil works for me xxxx
Vicodin or Narco works for my pain but my doctor said there is some new law that says if the pain lasts over 30 days he can not prescribe narcotics. That's how I ended up with tramadol. Although I still have a few Narco left from my last surgery in 2013. That is how rarely I take strong pain meds. I was on gabapentin then lyrica but stopped to get pregnant. Pain exploded! We believe my endometriosis has spread to my upper abdomin. I had very little upper abdomin pain when I was on the lyrica. Now surgery is next week then i will be trying again to get pregnant before the endometriosis takes back over.
I just switched from using Tramadol. I've used it for over a decade for my undiagnosed endo. It was prescribed by my general practitioner. Though the side effects were awful, I thought my life would be over if I didn't have Tramadol. My new gynecologist who officially diagnosed me with endo switched me to Ponstel, and it's worked wonders. It's working better so far than any opiate or NSAID I've ever used. It's wonderful and I don't miss the Tramadol at all.
