I have been tired a lot and experiencing some hair loss. I had full blood work done to find out what was wrong. Everything was normal except for a slightly elevated TSH level. Has anyone else had this issue? Hypothyroidism runs in my family but I am at a healthy weight. I hope I don't have a thyroid issue on top of the Endo.
I have read that a lot of women how have endometriosis also have thyroid problems, some theory i have read believe that there is link between endo and and thyroid disease. And hormonal imbalance because thyroid disease effects your hormones, so they think that might be a possibly cause why we have endometriosis!!
Agredd with the person above. Even if your numbers are just a tad outside "normal" range, u can have symptoms. And your levels can change over time.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I would ask to have a full panel of thyroid tests done and ask to see and endocrinologist. The TSH number doesn't tell the whole picture. I have had hypothyroidism for 15 years (also had hyperthyroidism after my second pregnancy and am slowly returning to my old hypothyroid state). Remember there's a big difference between the "optimal" number for blood work and the "normal" range. I find I feel hypo symptoms even when I'm in the normal range but I feel better when I'm closer to 1.0.
