It is honestly something that doesnt have a concrete answer since every case of endo is different. I went birth control free for years. I too was on depo and it made me gain 40lbs and i was like no more. I stopped taking the pill due to it did nothing for me. I dont know if it made my endo worse or not. I felt better mentally not being on the hormones. As far as fertility, i had to have a child via ivf. But once again i blame endo in general for that.
