Very Heavy Period After Laparoscopy
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Did anyone else experience a very heavy period after a lap? This is my second period after my laparoscopy and last night when I got home my tampon was full, blood had soaked thru my underwear, as well as all the way through my pants. I'm also still experiencing excruciating cramps...

Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't. However, I was told that since I had a thyroid condition and the pain meds and stuff would interfere with my thyroid meds, I could expierence that. My thyroid hormones did remain low for about 6 mos and finally picked up again. My main symptom was fatigue though not heavy period. Did you have a thyroid condition?

Yes I'm 9 weeks post op , both periods I've needed medication to help slow bleeding down helped slightly but cramps are excruciating. . Along with a constant sore pelvis , Can I ask what treatment method you had?

I have been trying to conceive for 16 months and found out I had an endometrioma in my ovary. Went forward with laparoscopy & was diagnosed with mild endometriosis. Since the surgery, my periods have been worst since before. They are very heavy and painful. Any advice please

Yes. I am definitely looking into it. My doctor already thinks she's going to have to go back in.
