@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member there was so much I didn't realize prior to joining this site, even having done research on my own after being diagnosed. Perhaps the most poignant thing has been that so many doctors don't really know any more than we do about this (not including their general medical expertise)-- which, ok, there's not a lot of research, but say you don't know and refer us to someone who does rather than telling us outdated BS! I hope you are able to find a specialist and get proper help.

Thank you for your replies! I think I need to spend a bit more time reasearcing this and I didn't realise there was endo specialists out there to be honest! It's so disheartening though you go to the doctors for help an they tell you the most severe option and end you on your way! X

Surgery is the only way to get a definite diagnosis, unfortunately. Hysterectomy is not really a treatment; many women get hysterectomies and the endo still grows back. I don't know what surgery would do for your chances of conceiving, but it might be something to consider if your doctor suspects endo. I hope everything works out and sending you lots of magic baby dust :)
