I was diagnosed with a fairly large endometrioma via ultrasound and my doc wanted to wait two months before doing a second ultrasound. In the meantime, after a particularly active day, I suddenly experienced a sharp pain in the side where my cyst is followed by intense pain for the next week. Since then, the inside of my stomach cavity has been a constellation of sharp little pains and I feel sick after I eat. This has been going on for a month.
TracyReel, what ended up happening with your cyst? I had one rupture in late July of this year and am still feeling sharp pains and other symptoms that have only intensified. I have my first laparoscopy scheduled the first week of January.
My endometrioma ruptured in late May and I started the Lupron shots a couple weeks after because the pain was so horrible that I couldn't even walk. I had free fluid that was causing me pain. Since I started the shots I've felt better. Good luck!
dnotko, thank you for the input, and I do have an ultrasound scheduled for next week.
Avecita, I'm sorry to hear about your pain. How long was your recovery time after the surgery?
Have u had an ultrasound since the rupture? If not, u shoukd get checked to make sure you dont have any free fluid or infection
I haven't had any issue in the stomach cavity, and that sounds horrendous! I did have a large chocolate cyst rupture though, all over my bowel, and I remember the exact moment it happened. They said it made a huge mess, (several months passed between the rupture and the next surgery), and as such it took an hour to clean me out they said. I hope you can get yours sorted.
